WORKING AT HEIGHT AWARENESS

Falls from a height are one of the most common causes of injuries at work. In the event of an accident, this can result in serious injury or death to people working and passing by, including construction and maintenance workers and members of the public. It is therefore important that everyone working at height understands how to work safely and responsibly and in compliance with the law.


This working at height awareness training course introduces you to the current rules for working at height, giving employers and employees the information they need to cope successfully with the risks and controls of working at height. This includes an understanding of how to perform a risk assessment for working at height to effectively control and manage risk, how to use access equipment safely, and how to ensure that workers can reduce the risk of falling from a height.

• Compression of limbs and blood vessels
• Inspection and survey
• Overview of security measures
• Hazard and risk assessment


PRACTICAL TRAINING


• Equipment inspection and correct selection
• Identification of defective equipment
• Proper use and installation of equipment
• Use of ladders
• Installation and use of security systems. Proper use of safety equipment at work
• Installation and use of horizontal lifting and lowering equipment
