This course is very practical and delegates will experience the whole process of a safe and systematic approach to working at height. The course covers the skills needed to rescue / recover from a disaster. This is an essential, but often overlooked feature, as in such a situation, the victim may have serious health problems after as little as 20 minutes. The course is for those whose nature of work requires working at height. This would include most workers in the gas, chemical, oil, wind, shipbuilding and construction industries, who sometimes have to work at heights, such as painters, scaffolders, mechanics and electricians, steel builders, and electrical and telecommunications workers. This course will also be interesting for emergency services.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

• Proper use and installation of equipment
• Proper belt fastening and adjustment
• Using a fall arrest system
• Use of ladders
• Installation and use of security systems. Proper use of safety equipment at work
• Installation and use of horizontal lifting and lowering equipment
• Prevention of trauma and compression of limbs and blood vessels
• Basic rescue and first aid
• Unsafe work situations
